application
1. The vacuum freeze dryer is suitable for drying high-end raw materials such as pharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces, seafood, wild vegetables, dehydrated vegetables, food, fruits, and chemical drug intermediates. [1]
2. The vacuum freeze dryer combines the refrigeration system, vacuum system, thermal oil heating system, and dehumidification system into a new type of box structure, which greatly utilizes the storage space inside the box for freeze-drying and vacuum drying, and can make the dried powder have good dispersibility.
Product Features
The process of freeze-drying involves the absence of impurities mixed into the object, which can maintain the original composition, active ingredients, and material form of the material without damage.
working principle
After starting up, put the materials into the material box for freezing The freezing process of materials involves, on one hand, the vacuum system evacuating and removing a portion of the moisture; On the other hand, when the material is frozen, the moisture contained in certain molecules is discharged onto the surface of the material to freeze. After meeting the freezing requirements, the material is heated and dried by the heating system, and the moisture contained in the material is brought to the freezing capture box for freezing by vacuuming, achieving the freeze-drying requirements of the material.
Freeze drying refers to the process of removing water or other solvents from frozen biological products through sublimation. Sublimation refers to the process in which a solvent, such as water, like dry ice, changes from a solid state to a gaseous state without going through a liquid state. The product obtained from freeze-drying is called lyophilizer, and the process is called freeze-drying. Traditional drying can cause material shrinkage and damage cells. The structure of the sample will not be damaged during the freeze-drying process, as the solid components are supported by the solid ice in their positions. When ice sublimates, it leaves pores in the remaining dry material. This preserves the integrity of the biological and chemical structure and activity of the product. In the laboratory, freeze-drying has many different uses and is indispensable in many biochemical and pharmaceutical applications. It is used to obtain biomaterials that can be preserved for a long period of time, such as microbial culture, enzymes, blood, and drugs. In addition to the stability of long-term preservation, it also retains its inherent biological activity and structure. For this purpose, freeze-drying is used to prepare tissue samples for structural studies (such as electron microscopy). Freeze drying is also used in chemical analysis, which can obtain dried samples or concentrate samples to increase analysis sensitivity. Freeze drying stabilizes the composition of the sample without changing its chemical composition, making it an ideal analytical aid. Freeze drying can occur naturally. Under natural circumstances, this process is slow and unpredictable. Through freeze-drying systems, people have improved and subdivided many steps, accelerating this process.
Heat, commonly used in other methods of food processing such as canning and dehydration, invariably alters the structure and chemistry of the product. The advantage of freeze drying is the preservation of food's structural and chemical composition with lttle or no alteration. Freeze-dried foods are the closest that preserved food gets to retaining its natural composition with respect to structure and chemistry. Foods that are freeze dried are simply placed in a form of stasis until water is added back to the food. Freeze drying food removes the water without damaging the food. The water is removed in a cold environment and doesn't kill the important enzymes. Removing the water from the food halts the growth of germs and bacteria. Once the food has been freeze dried, it is placed in a container with an oxygen absorber and sealed
Keep in mind that raw eggs, meats, or any other uncooked foods, are still raw once they are rehydrated, so they either need to be cooked immediately or refrigerated and treated like any other raw food. Bacteria will begin to grow again. Never eat raw freeze dried meat or eggs.
You can freeze dry different foods or items at the same time and even share trays with various foods; however,to avoid transferring strong odors to other foods in your batch, don't freeze dry onions, peppers, jalapenos,or garlic in the same batch as other foods. You can pour liquids and purees directly into trays. You don't have to carry full trays of liquid to the freeze dryer. Instead, place empty trays directly in your freeze dryer then pull each tray out partway and fill up to just below the lip of the tray.
Fruits & Berries Fruit can be freeze dried fresh, frozen, or even canned. Many fruits have a skin, such as grapes and blueberries. These fruits need to be halved, pierced, or sliced to let the moisture out during the freeze drying process. All cut fruits should be placed cut-side up on the trays. If you have canned fruits that are about to expire, you can freeze dry them. They make great treats.
